Assisted editing

The edit, written
before you edit.

It analyses all your footage and proposes a full storyboard: which shot goes where and why. You approve it, adjust it, and the edit builds itself.

How it works

Analyse, propose, edit.

1
Analyse the footage
Goes through all the raw material in the project: what is said, what is shown and which shots are available.
2
Propose the storyboard
A rundown with structure, selected shots and durations, in text and thumbnails.
3
Approve and edit
Change whatever you want and the real sequence is built inside your project.
Capabilities

An editor that shows you the plan before touching anything.

The problem with automatic editing is that you do not know what it is about to do. Storyboard AI tells you first.

Editable rundown
Reorder blocks, change shots and adjust durations before anything is generated.
A reason per shot
Every choice comes with its rationale, so you can argue with it instead of accepting it blind.
Edits inside your project
Generates a new sequence without touching your footage or your existing sequences.

Under the hood

What it does inside.

Structure
It proposes a narrative shape, not a collage
Before picking shots it decides the structure: opening, development in thematic blocks and close. Every shot is placed by the role it plays inside that structure, which is the difference between an edit and a run of pretty clips.
Iteration
Change the rundown and the edit is rebuilt
If you move a block or change its duration, the proposal is recomputed while keeping the rest. You can iterate on the plan several times in the time it used to take to build one full version.
Frequently asked

What people usually ask about Storyboard AI.

Missing something? Support replies within one working day.

Do I need a script first?
No, although if you have one you can hand it over so the structure follows it.
Does it touch my existing sequences?
No. It generates a new sequence and leaves everything else untouched.
Can I edit only part of it?
Yes, by limiting the analysis to a bin or a selection of clips.
What if I do not like the proposal?
You edit it or discard it. Nothing is generated on the timeline until you approve.
