Sync
Waveform correlation with drift compensation
Cameras recording for hours drift apart because of internal clock error. Sync is not computed once at the start but at several points across the footage, so the end of the podcast stays as aligned as the beginning.
Shot choice
Overlaps resolved with editing judgement
When two people talk at once, cutting to each of them is the worst thing you can do. In those stretches it picks the wide shot or holds the active angle, mirroring the decision a live director would make.
