Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit mimu.video or join the waitlist, who we share it with, and what you can demand from us. It is written to be understood: if anything is unclear, write to us and we will fix it.
Who is responsible
Telyos Communication FZ-LLC, a company incorporated in the United Arab Emirates under a licence issued by RAKEZ (Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone – RAK Free Trade Zone & RAK Investment Authority).

What we handle and why
We only handle three sets of data, and none of it is collected until you do something first.

- We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.
- We do not build profiles and we do not make automated decisions about you.
- Measurement events are filtered so that your email, name or phone number never leave the page, even if you type them into a form.
If you write to us
When you email contact@mimu.video we handle your address and the content of your message for the sole purpose of replying. We keep that correspondence for as long as it is useful for the matter at hand and to evidence what was said.
Who handles data on our behalf
We work with providers that handle data under our instructions. These are all of them, with no exceptions:

Transfers outside the European Economic Area
You should know this plainly: the server holding the waitlist email addresses is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Malaysia is not covered by a European Commission adequacy decision, so that transfer relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Commission, incorporated into the contract with our hosting provider.
Other providers in the table above also handle data outside the EEA, likewise under Standard Contractual Clauses or the adequacy framework applicable to each.

How long we keep things

What you can demand from us
Regarding your personal data you have the right to: access it, correct it if inaccurate, erase it, restrict its processing, object to it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting what was done before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, one email to contact@mimu.video is enough. We reply within one month at most and we do not charge for it.
If you live in the European Union and believe we have not done right by you, you can complain to your national supervisory authority.
Leaving the waitlist
Write to contact@mimu.video asking to be removed and we delete your address. You do not need to explain why.
Cookies and browser storage
This site stores a few things in your browser, some essential and some only if you allow them. They are listed one by one in the cookie policy.
When you use the Mimu extension
This policy covers the website. The Adobe Premiere Pro extension additionally processes the audio of your sequence to produce the transcription: that audio is processed temporarily on servers in the European region and is not retained once the result has been generated.
When the extension leaves its current stage we will publish product-specific terms, detailing what is processed, where and for how long.
Minors
Mimu is a professional tool and is not directed at anyone under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect data from people that age; if we learn that we have, we delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material we will update the date in the header, and where the change affects what you already authorised, we will ask you again before applying it.
